From the farm to the coast to the big city, Randy grew up in rural North-central Indiana and attended college at Manchester where he studied business management and education.
Randy hitchhiked to San Francisco working in national parks along the way and stayed there for 10 years working in the executive concierge business and became very involved in community services- a young, starry-eyed kid trying to change the world and all that crap. After 12 years in NYC working as a producer, executive producer and president at Manhattan Center Studios, Randy returned to Indiana to be close to family and get his five kids ready for college.
While at MCS, Randy worked with all the major broadcast and cable networks, producing shows featuring the likes of Oprah, Janet Jackson, and Paul McCartney. This included three years of Bravo's Full Frontal Fashion daily show, five years of ESPN's Cold Pizza daily show, Phil Donahue for a full season, MTV Unplugged with Eric Clapton, A&E's Live By Request with Bon Jovi, TNT's Tribute to Johnny Cash, HBO Live Boxing, and WWF Live Wrestling.
Randy was driving into NYC for work on the morning of September 11th, 2001. He worked just a few blocks from the World Trade Center and took his kids to see live outdoor concerts there. Randy ran the NYC marathon the year before and again two months after the attack.
